Weavers Of Ireland Spring/Summer 2022
3rd Mar 2022
Spring is a beautiful season here in Ireland. A time for rebirth, renewal and awakening. What makes it exceptionally exciting is the transition of the dreary, dark winter nights - to the warmer, brighter evenings. To watch the fresh flowers blooming and see the countryside burst into color with blankets of wildflowers, new life in every corner and spring festivals in full swing. Spring can be a bit wet (but it is Ireland, so rain is going to happen anyway!) and to think of the Spring showers washing away the dark winter past and rejuvenating the old reminds us that you can’t have a rainbow without a little rain.
We are springing into action at Weavers of Ireland to provide and seek the best Irish quality products for you to stay sustainable, trendy, and fashionable this season.
Here we have our top picks of must-haves in our new Spring/Summer collection:
First up is this beautiful Cashmere Skellig scarf in the shade Meadow Green mix.
Woven in the heart of County Kerry in Killarney National Park, our friends at Mucros Weavers are inspired by the landscape around them and how the variable shades of green all pay tribute to its beauty.
A stunning view of the lakes in Killarney - a must visit when in Ireland.
Next up is the work of woven artistry for the men (or the man in your life).
This scarf we have is from Foxford in shade Shannon Check:
This superb quality, luxury, warm and stylish scarf is inspired by the beautiful countryside in Ballina town, Co. Mayo as photographed above. Branigans scarves are woven right here in this very town. The richness of the shades in this scarf shows how the formless water meets the mossy grass on its shore; bonding together into one creation - perfect to keep you snug while enjoying a Springtime stroll.
The Emma Tweed Herringbone Coat – in the colour Donegal Red.
This coat is among our absolute favourites and here is why...

|
As you can see each colour in this handmade wool coat is beautifully woven and vibrant. The contrasting color combinations of red, orange, yellow and purple shades represent the Spring-blooming flowers such as tulips & daffodils which are rich with growth in early Spring here in Ireland. The lighter shades of green and yellow are reminders of the fresh soft leaves returning and breathing new life into our trees. The gorgeous blues represent the return of clear skies for the season ahead. Featuring two large front pockets & velvet trimming along the pockets and cuffs this is a meaningful, warm, and colourfully uplifting piece that is lightweight making it the perfect coat for this Spring/Summer.
Up next is the Sean Tweed Overcoat - Olive Herringbone
This classic raglan sleeved coat with multiple detail and style has unmatched quality. This full-length coat is the perfect overcoat for Spring/Summer evening strolls. The striking light olive colour is ideal to add a little splash of Spring colour to your wardrobe this year. When cared for correctly this coat can last for countless years to come making it an essential investment to any wardrobe.
Now lastly, to add these beautiful, playful colours of Spring to our homes -
Donegal Tweed Mediterranean Fringed Throw - available now in five colours online.
Inspired by the breath-takingly stunning hills of Donegal – this purple represents the heather that blooms on the mountains with the green mossy mountain grass. These colors bind with each other to create the stunning patterns you see on the mountain, pictured above. Delivering warmth and comfort to your home, allowing you to cozy up with a book or movie on some showery Spring afternoons.
