I bought this for a two week trip in Ireland and Scotland. Expected two weeks of drizzle and damp, instead we had sunny days for all but 3 days. The coat was worn daily. It cut the wind. It was easy to pop the hood when my ears got cold or the rain started. The little skirt at the back vent made it easy to hike up Old Man Stor for a sunrise photo shoot, and again, another hike for sunset at some lighthouse in Scotland. It was water resistant, in that the water beads up on the fabric. It's lined and has a little insulation, which was the perfect amount to keep me warm but not too hot. The pockets (I found four), are roomy enough to hold my hat, my gloves, my mini tripod and my phone and my lip balm and my spare lens filters for the camera. I sat on rocks, I jumped over little streams, I slogged through bogs, I hung on the fences chatting with horses and hairy cows and cute baby lambs. It took a beating and came home looking as perfect as the day we left. I wadded the coat into the hood and made a pillow out of it. It didn't wrinkle. I wore it into fancy restaurants as well as out on the bog. I'm 5'-4", 130lbs, 33x29x39, I bought a medium. It fit great. If I put my hands in the pockets, it pulled it snug across the back, but not terribly. I didn't feel frumpy, and that was my concern with such a large coat. It was a brilliant purchase and I am totally delighted. I wore a merino sweater with a half zip, and by zipping the sweater up to the neck, I was cozy as could be on the chilly days. I took the sweater off on the warmer days (using the pockets to carry all my goodies on the hikes, to skip the camera bag). A great coat!!! The arms are the perfect length. The zip and snap front is great too.

I LOVE this coat! It arrived on a very rainy day so I got to try it out right away. It's amazing. I stayed dry from head to toe. I especially love how the hood stays in place. Most blow off so I end up holding it in place with one hand but not with this coat...let the wind blow. I'm 5'3" and 118 lbs, size medium fits me perfectly. Highly recommend this coat.

Couldn’t be happier

I was very excited to see this wonderful coat on sale. It became one of my absolute favourites as soon as I tried it on. This coat fits like a well loved glove. It is extremely comfortable as well as functional. The outer material and quilted lining block the cold winds. The opening in the back enables ease of sitting. The sleeves are the perfect length for my long arms and can be adjusted to fit snugly around my wrists. I highly recommend this coat and love it so much I’ve treated myself to another colour as well.
