    Donegal waterproof hat

I’m stepping out of the box and trying something new. This hat makes me feel confident that I’ve chosen the correct hat to do so. If you haven’t guessed, I love it.

    Donegal Malvern Navy Rainhat

Posted by Maria M. on 10th Nov 2022

I bought this hat to match my beautiful Donegal Malvern Navy raincoat. I like mostly eveything about this hat. The style is the type I usually wear, somewhat like a bucket hat. I found the width of the brim a bit unusual It's wider on one side than the other which is hard to tell in the photos. I personally will wear the hat differently than in the photos with the badge at the back of the neck which is more flattering to me. I like equal width brim on both sides of my head. I love the navy color and the waterproof factor. I like the twiste hat band. Makes for more interest. I will be able to wear it with my other raincoats that don't have a hood. Wonderful with my new matching Donegal raincoat. If I could I would also get the blackberry plum color. I plan to buy one of the wool fedoras that models are wearing in pics also. Wish I had ordered one at time of my order to save on shipping. Maybe for Valentines day. Or additional Christmas present earlier. Both the rainhat and fedora. :) I hope you folks make a hat like this one with brim the same size all around.

What a wonderful hat. I love it. I haven't had a chance to wear it in the rain yet but the lip at the edge is stylish and a perfect design to keep water off my face. A great hat.

    Jack Murphy Donegal Waterproof Hat

I love this hat! Although my part of the world is experiencing a drought, I purchased it for when our Pacific Northwest rains return. I’ve traveled to Ireland over the years and miss you all. It was a joy to have had such a satisfying experience with Weavers of Ireland. (Almost like being there!)

It’s not every day that I buy a hat. Typically most of them look awful on me, but this one is different. It almost has an old-fashioned look to it, almost Downton Abbey. The shape suits my face. Thank you for making this.

    Donegal waterproof hat.

My hat arrived today and I am thrilled with it. Much more flattering than other rain hats I have had and they have all now been donated to the Op Shop. Haven’t been able to test it in the rain yet but showers are forecast for the next few days in rural New South Wales where I live so it will give me a chance to really try it out.
