Donegal Ladies Waterproof Full Length Coat -Olive

My Wife is delighted. It's warm and weatherproof and is what she has been searching for in England without success. And she says the quality is great - she says you can tell it's Irish. Make of that what you will.

When I ordered this coat, I had no idea that its first test would be Hurricane Fiona! I was simply, desperately, looking for a full-length waterproof coat to replace a 12-year-old, perfectly good one that had been stolen from a cafe coat rack early in the summer. When I tried to replace it from the same manufacturer I found the long model had been redesigned and instead of covering the tops of my boots, it now would end above the knee. This an improvement? I searched every manufacturer I could think of, looking for a long raincoat and found even the supposedly outdoor wear companies' coats are now thigh-length. I live in Nova Scotia, an often wet part of the world. I walk dogs in all weathers. I walk to appointments. I wait for the bus. I get in and out of cars. It's seldom convenient to wear waterproof trousers and a jacket if you have to go into a dry environment at the end of your trip. I had given up the search when some algorithm delivered the Weavers ad on my Google feed. Most ads are rubbish and I ignore them. I'm glad I didn't this time. My coat arrived in under a week. It's perfect! It's all I ask for in a raincoat and more. Good size inside pockets for my phone and wallet. Deep outside pockets for my hands, gloves, poop bags, treats etc. The front zip and snaps go right to the hem. Even the hurricane didn't require the use of the leg straps. Decent width so I can take a good stride, even with the back pleat closed. The hood snugs in around my face with just enough brim to keep the water out of my eyes but not obscure vision. And I love the corduroy neck lining - soft and comfortable.I didn't think I'd like the shoulder cape but I do. I'm 5'4", 125 lb but I bought the large size to allow for layering with a fleece or thin puffy jacket for winter, and the fit is just right. A fantastic functional long raincoat. Thank you for a wonderful product. But please, no more hurricane test weather!

Best waterproof coat I own and am delighted with its design, style, functionality, and quality. It is lightweight and because it is waterproof, it is cold unless something warm is worn under underneath. One will definitely stay dry in this coat. Highly recommend. I am 5'5" at 110 lbs. I purchased a small (size 6 US) rather than an extra small and am glad I did because I will be wearing bulky sweaters under it. I also purchased the matching hat and am very happy with that as well. I expect this beautiful coat to last many year.

I particularly like the inside pockets. They are long enough for phone and glasses.
