This is a medium soft scarf and although I am a woman, I think it's a great unisexual (or all inclusive) scarf. I bought it to go along with a men's hat I also ordered for myself, and I think the two are made of very nice quality wool and put together well.

Just wore the alpaca scarf for the first time. It's cool, but not too cold out (roughly negative 9C). The scarf is comfortable, not itchy, warm and lightweight. High quality material and weaving. Looks very nice too.
Very glad I made the purchase. Will come in handy during those -35C days.

I've wrestled with department store scarves since we moved to Europe and they either look like crap after a month and/or feel like wearing a mask if you use it to keep your face warm. This scarf doesn't feel synthetic, it's super warm, soft and just feels like a quality article. I know it will be my winter partner for the next 3-5 years, it's just one of those things.
